As it's New Years Eve tomorrow I though this blog really needed a post full of fabulous party dresses in case you were after any last minute inspiration for tomorrow's celebrations. As you can see the dresses which have caught my eye are either black or sparkly and in some cases a bit of both.

So what are you up to tomorrow? Will you be staying in or going out? And will you be in a party frock or snuggled up in a pair of PJs? Which ever it is I am sure you'll look fabulous!

Hello, after a little Christmas blogging break I am back! Did you miss me? More importantly though did you have an absolutely fabulous Christmas? I hope it was full of great times surrounded by the people you love. I also hope you ate and drank far too much as I think I rather did, but in a good way of course - Christmas wouldn't be Christmas if you didn't feel at least slightly bloated by the end of Boxing Day. Anyway, I'm just stopping by to say hello but stay tuned for some most excellent posts (if I do say so myself) coming soon.

P.S. Isn't this photo just brilliant? I want a disco ball in my bathroom now!

Well Christmas is pretty much here now. It's Christmas Eve tomorrow and to me that's almost as exciting at Christmas Day itself, especially now I have children who are getting ready to hang up their stockings and wait for Santa's arrival. The trouble is I still have a load of festive images I wanted to show you and after the 25th December they're going to seem a little bit flat. Therefore, I am just going to throw them all at you now and wish you a Very Merry Christmas! I hope you all have a fantastic time celebrating.

I am fascinated by small space living and I adore the colour combination of yellow and grey. It therefore felt right that this photograph should have a post all of its own. Don't you think this is such a cure Christmas tree with beautifully wrapped matching presents? And I love how these shelves have been cleared to make perfect under-the-tree present storage. It looks so lovely it would almost be a shame to unwrap the presents and take down the tree after Christmas.

Not long until Christmas Day! You must have done all you Christmas shopping now. No? Well let me make a suggestion. How about purchasing a beautiful bracelet from the Tilly & Tabitha shop? There's still time to get your order in before the big day.

Hope you all have a fantastic weekend!

Christmas is a great excuse for going over the top and perhaps wearing things that you wouldn't normally wear. If you don't want to make too much of a statement though, how about just jazzing up you fingers. Here are a few example of some rather festive nail art.

I think my favourite has to be the sparkly navy blue nails with the snowflakes on. I'd definitely be up for nails like that.

I love traditional red, green and gold Christmas decorations but I am starting to love more and more the rather more modern festive colours. This turquoise theme is beautiful, possibly not quite as cosy as the traditional colours, but it does still look really festive.

What is your Christmas colour scheme?

So how's your Christmas shopping coming along? I think I am pretty much done but I don't think I could have coped without the internet this year! I have two children who make shopping really hard. My four year old daughter loves shopping but just too much. She just wants to spend ages in the shops trying on, touching, playing with and reading everything. It's nice if you are just having a bit of a browse but a nightmare when you are on a mission to get lots of things bought. My baby boy on the other hand hates shopping and makes a point of crying all the way round the shops.

Anyway, if you are experiencing simliar problems then how about checking out the Tilly & Tabitha online shop. I am sure you'll be able to find lots of presents for friends and family there. Do come check it out.

How do you put up a Christmas tree without actually putting up a Christmas tree? I bet it's not something you've every considered but here are some fantastic ideas for getting into the Christmas spirit without actually putting up a tradtional green tree.

I think my favourite has to be the tree made out of branches as the lights and the decorations are just so cute. And I must say I wouldn't really fancy the beer bottle tree in my house. It is very creative though and did make me chuckle!

I know I finished my mismatched bridesmaid series a while ago but when I spotted this photo I knew I had to share it with you. I love all these different shades of blue and turquoise and they all work perfectly together. I'm sure I'll still be sharing the occasion mismatched idea every now and again if I keep stumbling on combinations as gorgeous as this.

This is a post for anyone in the UK - have you seen our Christmas stamps yet? I think they are super cute. In fact I think they are so lovely I am a little bit tempted to buy a full set to keep. If you have children you are probably fully aware of the work of illustrator Axel Scheffler but if you've not seen any of the books he's illustrated then I am sure you can see from these why they are so popular. I can't wait start sending my Christmas cards now!

The birthstone for August is Peridot and I just love this shade of green. Thinking about it I do actually have quite a few clothes in this colour, including Converse shoes of course! And back in the 90s I had a nail polish this exact shade and I absolutely loved it! In fact I now feel I need to seek out some more nail varnish in this colour as it was pretty awesome! Surely I'm not going to love the colour for September as much as this!

When planning your wedding you can pretty much have a say on every small detail except, of course, the weather. I think everyone hopes their special day will be sunny, or at least dry, but in the UK you should always consider the possibilty of at least a little drizzle.

I was so convinced it would rain when I got married that I went and bought two huge white umbrellas just like this. It didn't rain. In fact it was the hottest day so far that year and I spent much of the day melting in the heat.

But a wet day really doesn't have to mean a miserable day. It's an excuse to wear pretty wellington boots.

And carry pretty umbrellas.

You can use the puddles to make really cool wedding photos.

And you can have a romantic kiss in the rain with no one around - the guests will all be inside keeping dry.

Be honest, does it look like any of the couples above let their wedding be spoiled by a bit of rain? I bet in some cases it makes it a wedding to remember!

This time next month we'll be hanging up our stockings in anticipation of Santa's arrival. We'll have left out and milk and cookies (or maybe Santa would prefer a glass of wine this year). We'll be doing last minute present wrapping and we'll be panicking that we've forgotten to buy some key ingredient for Christmas dinner. Yes, this time next month it'll be Christmas Eve. Oooo, exciting.

I promise I'll post again tomorrow and it'll be about something that has nothing to do with Christmas at all. I just couldn't resist writing about Christmas Eve tonight as in many ways it's actually more exciting that Christmas itself.

Because I promised not to talk about Christmas again for a while I thought I would kick off the weekend with this very unfestive image. What a beautiful scene this is. At the moment I can't even imagine feeling this warm outside again. Although saying that I know it's actually quite mild at the moment and will definitely get colder as winter gets in full swing.

Hope you all have a lovely and warm weekend!

P.S. Doesn't that mountain the background look a little like a Christmas tree?

Can I mention Christmas just one more time if I promise not to talk about it again until December? Thanks... I just wanted to let you know that we are selling snowflake charm bracelets in our shop that would be perfect for treating yourself to at this time of year. These seasonal items would also make fantastic Christmas gifts.

If you want to find out more please come and visit our online shop. It's well worth a look - if I do say so myself.

P.S. I just looked at the calendar and December is ages away. I may sneak in just one more Christmassy post before then.

In just five weeks time it will be Christmas Day. To some that may seem like ages away but to others that's excitingly close! Personally, it feels closer than I though it was and it appears to have snuck up on me this year. Anyway, I want to include a few Christmassy posts here so thought I'd better get started now - if I don't you'll just end up with five weeks worth of pretty festive pictures in the week before Christmas.

I've eased you in gently with this beautiful pastel Christmas display. It's festive but at the same time really subtle. You could almost get away with having this up in your house all year round! Stay tuned for more lovely Christmas images and ideas.

The following images show teeny tiny home work spaces which I think I'm going to call a working nook. These picture prove that even when you have very limited space you can still find a way to create a desk area for yourself. I love the way these use the space above the desk as well and have a great use of shelving.
